The Perfect Space

Since I will be getting married in 127 days I have been thinking continuously about how I want to re-decorate our house!

We don't have room in our house right now, but when we get a little more room I want to have a craft room! I have been trying to talk Jake into letting me have his music room in our current house, but he is not going to give in.

If I could have the craft room of my choice it would look something like this:

So cute, right?

or this. . .

and I for sure would not mind this. . .

this cute desk from Ikea would be great for storage!

I guess for now I will just have to dream! And who knows maybe I can talk Jake into letting me set up in the guest bedroom closet. . .

I think that it would be cute!

Help Fund The Harpers!

My friends, Lee and Laura Ashley Harper, have been given the chance to go on a mission trip to Haiti! She is selling the cutest trivets, coasters, and other design tiles that can be used in the kitchen as well as other places in the home.  You should go check them out on her blog at The Harper's Bazaar.  Help them out so they can help people out in Haiti!

our sweet puppy

On the 5th of December Jake and I got a call from Greg (Jake's Dad) and he said..."I don't know if y'all are looking for a dog, but we think we found one y'all would like."  So...up to Pet Smart we went.

When we got there we got to meet Zeke! He was adopted by a local shelter after almost being euthanized at the dog pound.  He was such a sweet puppy (well he was 10 months old at the time), and he felt like a perfect fit to our family. **Little did I know Jake would be proposing on the 10th**

Jake's story is that he let me get Zeke to distract me from his plans on the 10th!

We love having him in our family and Jake, even though he will not admit it, loves having him at the house when he comes home at night!

They are great to work with...Zeke was already house/crate trained and could sit and shake "hands".

The wedding details are starting to come together

Here are some pictures that our decorator is using for inspiration. . .

We are going for light, soft candle light, and a touch of antique elements!
Hopefully it will come out looking good!

Name In Pictures

I have fallen in love with the pictures that spell out your last name! The other day a friend said that they are the new version of the lace doilies with the name in the middle....and I agree! All of my newly married friends have them, and they look so cute in their houses.

I found a etsy shop that is selling them  HERE. You should check them out!

the start of something new

So I have attempted to be involved in the "blog world" before, but in the end never really stuck with it.  This time I am determined to be a blogger! I decided to form this blog into one that is family related!

Which brings me to my next point...
On July 3, 2010. . . Jacob and I(Anna) will become a family!

We have been dating for almost six years, and finally we are getting married! I am so excited for July 3rd! I have been planning and getting things ready for the "big day"!  You really don't understand how much time is involved until you are planning a wedding of your own, but I have enjoyed every moment.

Well stay tuned for everyday life updates!
